CANCELLED OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY!!! I work for a multi-billion dollar global company and they are too tight to pay for our Christmas Party. Good way to increase morale where staff morale is ever deteriorating…remind me NOT to take business advice from this company.

Old projects wind down and new ones start up - on my proj there’s a follow on contract so the jobs are bridged from current to new. My boss failed to create my position in the new project then after all applications closed went “oh crap, we need her” so created a new role & combined admin tasks at lower job grade. Flogged it off as if he was doing me a favour & expected me to be happy about a pay cut. NO CHANCE LOSER!!! Oh and also advertised the job before he bothered to tell me any of this.

Our performance review process affects our annual payrise. Last year my boss said he was too busy to do my performance review, so asked if I could score myself and he would sign it when done. So I did as I was told. Unsurprisingly I gave myself rave reviews, and the boss signed off. When HR audited the process, they found my score was inconsistently higher than all others. When questioned, bossy couldn’t explain without getting his a*se kicked! And I still got a big payrise $$$ kerching
